The Power of Style Fashion Show

Washington, D.C.- On Saturday, March 25, 2017, we partnered with The Apollo and Refine boutique to host a private fashion show for an important cause--citizen re-entry for previously convicted felons.
Formerly incarcerated individuals have less opportunities to succeed, the stigma alone can derail a direct path to self-sufficiency. Mission Launch, LLC., is a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization run by women that tackles the root of this problem. Founders Laurin and Teresa Hodge are not only close friends of ZOPHIA but are truly committed to accelerate self-sufficiency and the elimination of bias and barriers.
Motivated by the urgency to help all women in our community, we donated all ticket sales to Mission Launch, LLC. On that sunny spring day, we were humbled by the turnout and support. It was truly incredible. Thank you so much to everyone that attended.
A huge thank you to The Apollo for donating the space, Refine for styling the show and Matine Studio for providing the lovely clutches. The show wouldn't have been complete without the gorgeous models that donated their time and talent. Thank you to our intern Jackie Febles, she did an incredible job. Also, a big thanks to our photographer, Sharleen of London Red. She captured each moment of the show beautifully! A heartfelt thank you to each one of you!
Empowering women stands as the focal point of our mission at ZOPHIA. On that lovely day in March, with your help, we truly felt closer to meeting that goal. In future, we look forward to collaborating with Mission Launch, LLC. for future projects and events.
